Indulge your passion for traditional weaving and embroidery, spectacular scenery, and mouthwatering New Mexico chile, all in one day! The Fiber Arts Tour draws upon the New Mexico Fiber Arts Trails, an initiative of New Mexico Arts, in collaboration with fiber artists and organizations statewide. The Trails are a roadmap to the Land of Enchantment’s extensive fiber arts traditions. (www.nmfiberarts.org) Join the Trails’ project manager and writer-researcher as we explore some of the gems along the north central route! We will visit two generations-old weaving studios and hear from master traditional artists who are carrying on their family traditions. Lunch will be at the Rancho de Chímayo, a northern New Mexico dining landmark that just marked its 50th anniversary. We will spend the afternoon with several traditional artists and staff at the Española Valley Fiber Arts Center, a unique grassroots community organization, the heart of the region’s many handwork traditions. Opportunities to shop for locally made fiber arts and yarn will abound!

To sign up for the tour, visit the online store at https://afsnet.site-ym.com/store/ViewProduct.aspx?id=3035853.
