Folklorists with excellent undergraduate honors students from historically underrepresented groups may want to inform them of the following initiative.

Qualified students will be funded for an exploratory visit to Ohio State on October 20-22 (just after the AFS Annual Meeting) and receive special consideration in Ohio State's annual Graduate School Fellowship Competition for admission in the coming year.

Applications are due by September 13. Professors or students should send a note to Dorothy Noyes, Director of Ohio State's Center for Folklore Studies, at to inform her of their intention.
