The Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee North Carolina is seeking an Executive Director. He or she will determine and execute long range strategies with guidelines set up by the Board of Directors; will plan, direct and coordinate operational activities with the help of subordinate executives and managers, including fundraising, management of exhibits, retail operations and physical plant. Salary negotiable.  Start training October 1, 2013. Native preference. The Museum of the Cherokee Indian is a non-profit 501c3 with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a federally recognized tribe.
