A part-time Executive Director is sought
by Junior Appalachian Musicians, Inc. ("JAM, Inc”), a non-profit
organization that assists communities in creating programs for young
people to engage them with the musical heritage of the Southern
Appalachians. JAM, Inc provides administrative consultation to community
groups, teacher and administrator training workshops, and resource
guides. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in
the administration of a non-profit organization and applicable laws,
documented experience in fund raising (including the preparation of
grant applications, reports and disbursement reports), and above-average
computer skills—preferably on both Mac and PC. The Executive Director
will supervise a small staff and report to the JAM, Inc Board of
Directors. The JAM, Inc office is currently in Independence, VA but
could potentially be relocated if requested by a desirable candidate.
