AFS is pleased to announce Sally Van de Water as the new AFS Review Editor. Van de Water, an independent folklorist, has been active in AFS since 1996 and currently serves on the AFS Executive Board Nominating Committee.
Van de Water is responsible for editorial content of the Review, including short articles, essays, opinion pieces, etc., and is soliciting annotated reviews of folklore and folklife resources, profiles of national and international programs, initiatives, and organizations, and opinion pieces with relevance to AFS members. Van de Water writes, "It’s my hope that the Review can publish member essays and opinion pieces which will generate dialogue and healthy debate among members. There are already a number of effective ways members of the Society share news and ideas within their own interest areas and regions; the Review is meant to connect those threads, and expand the conversation among all members." All members are encouraged to add their voices to the Review’s content. To submit an idea for consideration, please contact Sally Van de Water directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
