AFS Folklore and Education Section Asks for Submissions to Annual Newsletter

The Folklore and Education Section of the American Folklore Society is seeking content for its annual newsletter. The section is interested in items of general interest as well as notifications of new resources for use in folklife in education. Previous years' newsletters are available at the section's webpage, http://www.afsnet.org/?page=FolkloreEd

The section will consider any submission that is relevant to what it publishes--especially items for the "New Resources" column, which consists of brief announcements of new materials for use in schools and in adult education--specifically educational programs outside of academe.

To publicize a new resource, send a write-up of less than 150 words. Include the title of the resource, a brief description of the resource, ordering information, and any relevant contact information. Examples of these entries exist in previous years' newsletters.

Newsletter items are due by February 22, 2013, and the newsletter should be posted by the time of the next AFS meeting. Please send submissions as soon as possible to ghansen@astate.edu
