The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (NACF) is proud to be able to offer support to artists from tribal nations located in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin, who are currently creating traditional art or visual arts in these states.

From this regional pool of artists, panels of expert reviewers will select the top entries. The awards will range up to $20,000 per artist. The foundation will announce NACF Regional Artist Fellowship awards in Fall 2014.

"We welcome artists to apply for the NACF Regional Artist Fellowship to develop their talents and their voices through experimentation and discovery, to engage their community in their projects and to represent their respective nations through the distinct quality of their artistic practices,"  says NACF Program Director Reuben Roqueñi.

The NACF Regional Artist Fellowship is available to American Indian artists in the fields of Traditional Arts or Visual Arts who:

The NACF Regional Artist Fellowship awards are project based. Applicants must submit a Project Budget for new work that they will complete with the support of this award using the template available in the online application.

To apply, submit your online application by 5 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at http://www.nativeartgrants.org.

Foundation staff members are available to respond to questions and provide technical assistance from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (PST), Monday through Friday, at 360-314-2421.
