Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival

Maryland Traditions, a program of the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC), has announced the 2nd Annual Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival. The free Festival—an interactive, family-friendly celebration of traditional arts and foods from across the state—happens rain or shine, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., June 16 at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson in East Baltimore. The Festival features Maryland’s traditional musicians, arts masters and their apprentices playing music and leading workshops and demonstrations in screen painting, decoy duck carving, Smith Island Cake-baking and more. Maryland-made arts and crafts, plus distinctive Maryland food favorites will also be available for purchase.
