Subject: NEA Application Guidelines

Colleagues:

I have been getting some calls from folks who are planning for the coming r=
ound of NEA application deadlines.  The NEA guidelines for the coming fisca=
l year (2013), will most likely be posted at the end of this month or early=
in January.  We will again have deadlines in March and August for the majo=
r funding category - Art Works.  There is one change that will affect organ=
izations across all disciplines.  There will no longer be consortium applic=
ations, meaning that organizations will have one opportunity to apply on th=
eir own behalf.  This is a result of the anticipated reduced resources avai=
lable to the agency for the support of projects.  Applicants who traditiona=
lly have sent in an application on their own and one as part of a consortiu=
m may be able to bundle their request into a single multi-faceted project.
