Tuscon Meet Yourself, along with partners the University of Arizona and the Confluence Center for Creative Inquiry, is hosting an ethnographic field school in Banamichi in rural Sonora, Mexico, June 1–7, 2014. This week-long school will give students the chance to visit a variety of local artists and artisans and to practice basic anthropological / folkloristic field skills along the way. Instructors are notable scholars and artists from both sides of the border, including Tuscon Meet Yourself founder Jim Griffith and University of Arizona professor Maribel Alvarez. To register for the field school, visit before May 25, 2014.
