Student Papers:

FSU is accepting submissions of scholarly papers that address a folklore-related topic for the November 2012 Annual Meeting. Student submissions will be competitive and those accepted will present for 15-20 minutes at the conference. There will be a cash award for the best undergraduate and best graduate presentation, and the winning papers will be archived with the Folklore Society of Utah and available for scholarly research with permission of the authors. Please submit an electronic copy of your paper in either .pdf or .doc format to Include your full name, contact information (phone and email), institution of affiliation, department or program, major professor, and student status (undergraduate or graduate and expected graduation date).


Professional Works in Progress:

FSU also solicits informal presentations on works in progress by professionals as part of a panel. If you are an academic, public, or independent folklorist, please consider reporting on your current research at our meeting. Send a 500-word e-mail describing your research to
