Grant Writing Roundtable at AFS-2011 Meetings

Sponsored by the Independent Folklorists Section.

No preregistration required.

State Room West

Moderated by Laura Marcus Green and Amber Ridington

This informal roundtable discussion will point people to professional development materials already prepared about finding funding for their work, and will offer an opportunity for people to ask questions about grant writing, and share their own knowledge and experience about how to write successful grant applications.

If you are an experienced grant writer, please come and share your knowledge about funding your projects or folk arts/folklife program. If you are new to the process of grant writing, or need advice in a specific type of grant application, please come and pose your questions for the group.

The discussion topics will depend on the interests and experience of those who attend the roundtable, so come one, come all.

After the roundtable, we will post notes from the event, and additional resources that are brought forward during the discussion, to the Independent Folklorists' Section Resources and Links page.

If you are not able to attend the roundtable in person, please send in your questions or comments to Amber Ridington before the AFS meetings and she will make sure to put them forward.
