Folklore in K-12 Education
Folklorists are deeply involved in efforts to incorporate folklore
into K-12 classrooms throughout the country. These efforts have
taken many forms, from artists-in-education residencies to teacher
training workshops to major initiatives to make folklore and cultural
heritage an official part of state education standards and curricula.
