The Society's 2013 annual meeting will be held on October 16-19 at the Omni Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. The theme for the meeting, on which presentations will be encouraged but not required, is "Cultural Sustainability":

| New in 2013: Wednesday sessions, free afternoons
In response to comments from our 2011 member survey, we are adapting the 2013 schedule in an effort to increase meeting attendees’ opportunities for informal engagement.
We will schedule no sessions in our customary late-afternoon time slot (3:45-5:45 pm) on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. This time will instead be available to attendees for informal conversations and networking.
To open up this time slot and still include the customary number of sessions in the meeting program, we will begin the meeting program with concurrent sessions on Wednesday morning. The meeting’s opening ceremony will still be held on Wednesday evening. Tours and professional development workshops will be held throughout the meeting. |
