|2011 Annual Meeting|
The Society's 2011 annual meeting was held on October 12-15 at the Biddle Hotel and Conference Center in the Indiana Memorial Union complex on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington. The theme for the meeting was "Peace, War, Folklore." The local host was Indiana University's Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology. The meeting was well attended, by visitors from the Indiana University community, as well as the 750 who registered for the meeting.

Bloomington Local Guide
The local planning committee assembled a guide to eating, drinking, shopping, museums, and social life in Bloomington.
Indiana University's Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology also put together information about area events of interest -- lectures and exhibits, as well as music, theater, and dance events -- that were scheduled Monday, October 10, through Sunday, October 16.
